Starbucks Teams Up With Aku NFT Project

Starbucks’ Web3 loyalty program, Odyssey, announced on its Discord channel that they have partnered with Aku for their next digital collection. Created by former Major League Baseball player Micah Johnson, the Aku collection focuses on encouraging kids to dream big, and NFTs in the collection are bought by famous names like Trevor Noah, Pusha T and Tyra Banks.

Starbucks is also launching a new Journey called “Aku Adventure” on July 17, allowing Odyssey members to “complete various missions with Aku.” In the Discord post, it is stated that the new Stamp will be designed by Aku and the Journey will be available to Odyssey members by July 13, 2023. Also as part of the launch, Starbucks announced they will donate $100,000 to Blessings in a Backpack, a nonprofit that works to ensure food security for children.

Starbucks continues to offer limited edition NFTs to invite-only Odyssey loyalty program members. In March, the company launched the “Siren Collection”, which includes 2,000 Stamps selling for $100 each. In April, the company successfully launched the “Starbucks First Store Collection,” which consists of 5,000 Stamps selling for $99 each.
