Account holders in the Vkontakte network will be able to buy and sell them in the future, as the company is willing to set up a marketplace for NFT soon. According to local news; platform introduced the NFT service along with related training courses. VK CEO Marina Krasnova and Chief Technology Officer Alexander Tobol announced in their presentation in Moscow that the new features will be available to all users in a few days. Digital collectors will be able to transfer them to their accounts using the VK NFT option.

Users will be able to display these tokens in the form of avatars or in a special showcase in the profile. But to do this, they need to link their crypto wallet to their account. Krasnova made the following statement on the subject:

“Our mission is to simplify user interaction with NFT and make it truly a mass technology.”

Russia’s largest social media platform Vkontakte has announced that NFT collections will be released in January 2023. The platform also plans to launch a full-fledged NFT marketplace to offer users the opportunity to buy and resell collectibles at a later stage.
