Revolut Revenues Up 33% Despite Crypto Winter

Mikko Salovaara, finance manager of UK-based fintech firm Revolut, gave an exclusive interview to the news agency Reuters and conveyed the company figures. In an interview with the firm’s headquarters in London, Salovaara stated that its revenues for 2022 increased by 33%, an increase of $1.03 billion. Evaluating the policy of the firm, which has developed an internal-accounting system for 2022, after the FRC, an institution that oversees supervisory companies in the UK, found Revolut’s 2021 accounting audits “inconsistent”, Salovaara said:

“Our accounting system needed to change, and we did. We have developed the highest level of accounting standards. We will soon be working with accounting firm BDO.”

Salovaara said that despite the $1 billion increase in revenues, he could not give any information about whether the company would make a profit. The CFO also added that the company is considering going public soon. Revolut, which was founded in 2015 and has received a total investment of more than $1.7 billion so far, has a market value of more than $33 billion.
