Response to “Metaverse Is Dead” Allegations From Epic CEO

Although the metaverse, one of the popular topics of recent times, has not yet reached a large user base, the metaverse field continues to develop. While Meta, the umbrella company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, continues to work in the metaverse field, a metaverse statement came from the game giant Epic Games.

Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games, one of the largest game studios in the world, responded to allegations that the metaverse is dead. Sweeney made fun of the claim. Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney, who made a statement on the subject on his Twitter account, jokingly suggested that popular digital platform users gather to commemorate the death of the metaverse.

Sweeney used the following statements in his statement:

Metaverse is dead(!) Let’s hold an online funeral so that 600,000,000 monthly active users in Fortnite, Minecraft, Roblox, PUBG Mobile, Sandbox and VRChat can mourn together in real time 3D.

This statement by the successful manager Sweeney came in response to the news made earlier this week that the metaverse was abandoned by the business world. Finally, this statement is an indicator of Epic Games’ trust in the blockchain and metaverse space.
