Bitcoin investment firm NYDIG has announced its partnership with professional baseball team New York Yankees. The company will serve as the baseball club's official payroll platform.
According to a survey by NYDIG, more than a third of employees under the age of 30 want to be paid in Bitcoin. Kelly Brewster, CMO of NYDIG, says this partnership will further its mission to “bring Bitcoin to everyone.”
Aryn Sobo, Yankees Vice President of Human Resources, Employment and Labor Law, said the partnership will help improve the employee experience.
Cryptocurrency companies have signed deals with many sports clubs to promote their brands during the bull market. According to the report of the New York Post, many of these deals are broken due to the bear market.
OKX joins crypto exchanges licensed in Dubai
Seychelles-based crypto exchange OKX has announced that it has acquired a temporary virtual asset license in Dubai. According to the official press release, the license was granted by the Dubai World Trade Center under the Dubai Virtual Asset Regulators Authority.
OKX will thus be able to offer certain services to qualified investors in the United Arab Emirates, the Gulf Cooperation Council and Africa.
Following the license, OKX announced that it plans to establish a regional hub at Dubai World Trade Center to contribute to the expansion of the virtual asset ecosystem in the region.
