Film company Versus Entertainment has partnered with virtual reality platform Decentraland and entertainment company Lumiere, taking a step forward to combine cryptocurrency-themed movie project 'The Infinite Machine' with NFTs and the metaverse. It has been announced that the production will release an NFT collection and will be integrated into the Decentraland metaverse. It was stated that Hong Kong-based Lumiere will also support the project and this integration.
Developed in partnership with Versus, as well as the production company of famous director Ridley Scott, Scott Free, the film will tell the story of Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency. It was also among the news that the production would be the first film to be financed by NFT.
Adapted from the book of the same name by journalist Camilla Russo, 'The Infinite Machine' will be written and directed by renowned filmmaker Shyam Madiraju. Ridley Scott, Tom Moran, Vera Meyer and Alejandro Miranda will be among the producers of the film.
