Lubin Found SEC’s Cryptocurrency Regulations Positive

Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin shared his views on the cryptocurrency regulations of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Lubin stated that he has a positive view on the SEC’s regulations and emphasized that the USA has a significant impact on cryptocurrency regulations on a global scale. Lubin also stated that he opposes the SEC’s classification of most cryptocurrencies as securities, considering Ethereum to be a commodity.

The SEC filed a lawsuit against Binance and Coinbase in June, creating tension between crypto companies and financial regulators. Lubin took a positive approach on the crypto ecosystem, despite the SEC’s recent steps. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse also criticized the SEC. Garlinghouse claimed that the SEC was engaged in a political war with the crypto industry and warned cryptocurrency entrepreneurs in the US about regulatory uncertainty.

On the other hand, Lubin’s positive views on the SEC represent a contrary view to a stance often criticized in the cryptocurrency world.
