NFT integration of Instagram, which is under the wing of roof company Meta, has been talked about for a while. According to the news now, Instagram; It plans NFT integration for Ethereum, Polygon, Solana and Flow networks.

Last January, Meta announced a new feature on Instagram that will allow users to create, view and sell NFTs. Following this announcement, Instagram announced that it will support Ethereum, Polygon, Solana and Flow-based NFTs. Instagram will test the pilot on a small NFT enthusiast in the US.

Instagram aims to support widely used crypto wallets like MetaMask. Users will be able to prove NFT ownership with their wallets, display them on their profiles, and tag NFT creators.

According to CoinDesk, Instagram will not charge users to post and share NFTs. This move of Instagram, which has more than one billion monthly active users, is seen as an important step for the development and adoption of the NFT (Non Fungible Token) industry.

With this decision, it is thought that a new wave of cultural visibility may be experienced for the NFT world. As it is known, the social media platform has over 1 billion active users, and some of them use the platform to promote and market their own art.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement about the initiative in March, but didn't reveal the details. The Financial Times previously reported that Meta will launch new initiatives on Facebook, such as minting and group membership options, following the NFT pilot on Instagram.

Different social media platforms are also increasing their moves regarding NFTs, which are becoming more and more widespread. In addition to Instagram, another popular social media Twitter has also taken the name of NFT in recent months. The giant platform allowed NFTs to be profile photos with a feature.
