Huawei Will Work on Web3 Adaptation in Asia.

Huawei will partner with companies such as Polygon (MATIC), Deepbrain Chain (DBC), Morpheus Labs (MITX) and BlockChain Solutions to implement the Metaverse and Web3 Alliance projects to increase Web3 adoption in Asia. The partnership was announced at Huawei Cloud’s 2023 Huawei Cloud Asia Pacific Partnership Leaders Summit in Bali.

In the Asian region, there have been active days in the Metaverse and Web3 areas lately. Chinese companies have also started to put forward their projects in order to consolidate their position in this field. At the Huawei Summit, many Chinese companies made contacts to expand the new technology. It is reported that Huawei, which wants to make one of the biggest breakthroughs in this field, has already started working to make the 6G network available by 2030, beyond 5G technology, with the effort to realize the Web3 breakthrough. Late last year, Huawei’s Middle East Business and Strategy Consulting Chief Specialist Abhinav Purohit said that the existing telecom infrastructure is not sufficient to meet the requirements of Metaverse, so 5G and 6G networks are needed.

Although China is one of the countries with the toughest attitude towards cryptocurrencies, it has an understanding that embraces the Metaverse field. One of the most important indicators of this is that the Chinese city of Suzhou has the goal of becoming a Metaverse development and innovation center by 2025. Based on this goal, more than 200 companies specialized in virtual reality are expected to be deployed in Suzhou city. City officials also want to implement 30 business plans related to health, tourism, education and urban planning.

Apart from this development, Japanese tech and finance giants have agreed to create the Japan Metaverse Economic Zone, a platform-centric, multi-purpose virtual universe called Ryugukoku. Companies will share their technologies with users in the virtual universe. Recently, companies among Japan’s technology and finance giants JCB, Mizuho, Sumitomo Mitsui, Mitsubishi UFJ, Sompo Holdings, Sompo Japan Insurance, Toppan, Fujitsu and TBT Lab made an agreement to establish the Japan Metaverse Economic Zone. The design of Metaverse will be developed by JP Games. The virtual world called Ryugukoku is intended to be a multi-purpose Metaverse platform.
