Making a post on his Twitter account, Newegg tagged the official Shiba Inu (SHIB) twitter account with Shiba Inu's developer Shytoshi Kusama, and said, "Contact us in my DM, I have a question".

This sharing was perceived as a sign that the company may add the recently popular meme token SHIB as a payment tool. There has been no official statement yet from Newegg company on the subject.

Newegg, one of the first retail companies to adopt Bitcoin, had also accepted Dogecoin as a payment option in the past months.

US-based Newegg accepts Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Wrapped BTC, Dai and four of the stablecoins (BUSD, USDC, GUSD and PAX) as payment methods, apart from Bitcoin and Dogecoin.
