Speaking on a podcast, FTX CEO announced the three blockchains he deems most promising in 2022.

Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of crypto money exchange FTX, is one of the richest and most influential names in the crypto world under the age of 30. Bankman-Fried was asked about the projects she saw the most light on in a podcast.

Anyone who follows the CEO of FTX on Twitter knows that Fried is a die-hard Solana fan. Solana, one of the best performing cryptocurrencies of 2021, includes a new consensus mechanism called Proof of History.

Bankman-Fried thinks Solana has done the scaling that few blockchains have thought of but failed to do. He states that Solana offers an industrial scale usage opportunity.

Bankman-Fried's second pick is Avalanche. Avalanche is also Solana's rival and is referred to by some as the "Ethereum Killer". Founded by Cornell University professor and his team, Avalanche attracted great attention in 2021 and managed to be among the top 10 cryptocurrencies. Stating that Avalanche has a particularly solid team and that they have put in a lot of projects, FTX CEO Fried said that Avalanche is not yet at the expected level in terms of scaling.

The third choice of the famous CEO is a category rather than crypto money. In the concept called Wrapping, a synthetic version of popular tokens such as BTC and ETH is created. These synthetic tokens can be quickly transferred between different chains. According to Fried, Wrappers will continue to grow over time.

Fried also used the following statements for Bitcoin.

“Bitcoin, the grandfather of cryptocurrencies, will not go anywhere. Bitcoin will continue to be at the center of the crypto ecosystem, but Bitcoins will be moving on other chains rather than the Bitcoin blockchain.”
