Dogecoin-themed virtual restaurant Doge Burger opened in Dubai. The restaurant is the first crypto-inspired dining venue in the United Arab Emirates.
Multiple cryptocurrencies are accepted by Doge Burger. The restaurant announced via its Instagram page that it accepts several cryptocurrencies. These include Bitcoin, ETH, BNB, CRO, XRP, USDT, SHIB and DOGE.
As Time Out Dubai reports, the restaurant was started by Rocket Kitchen, a virtual restaurant chain that also prepares an all-American menu. As a virtual restaurant, it only takes orders to deliver hamburgers to customers. The branding of the packages reflects its affinity with Dogecoin. But it's not the only restaurant in Dubai that accepts cryptocurrencies. Some other restaurants also accept cryptocurrencies in Dubai.
Doge Burger Is Not The First Crypto-Themed Restaurant
Doge Burger isn't the first crypto-themed restaurant. Launched last month in Naples, Welly's is a Shiba Inu themed restaurant.
Memecoins are seeing their share of adoption in the crypto space skyrocket. Other businesses that are starting to accept DOGE include Elon Musk's Tesla. Musk recently announced that Tesla plans to adopt DOGE at SuperCharger stations. Musk also plans to build a drive-in restaurant chain that will accept DOGE in Tesla's SuperCharger.
However, memecoin remains highly volatile despite its increasing adoption. For the day, DOGE is trading at $0.12, down 5.72% in the last 24 hours.
Doge Burger is the newest business aiming to increase the adoption of cryptocurrencies in the UAE. The country's government plans to attract even more crypto investors. This month, the UAE announced the ongoing plans to grant federal licenses to crypto businesses.
The UAE is also focusing on increasing the presence of crypto miners in the country. The Middle Eastern country says regulating the crypto sector would be more beneficial for its economy. Meanwhile, the UAE is also the third largest crypto market by trading volume in the Middle East.
