FIFA Releases World Cup NFT Collection
Global payments giant Visa has launched the NFT collection called “Visa Masters of Movement” for the FIFA World Cup to be held in Qatar this month. Football and NFT enthusiasts will be able to purchase assets in the NFT collection with the upcoming auction. NFT collection can be accessed and bids can be made until 8 November through Crypto.com, which it cooperates with.

During the FIFA Fan Festival, which will be held in November, the collection will be officially launched. The Fan Festival will start on November 19 and continue until December 18. It is reported that the Visa Masters of Movement collection, which consists of unique avatars and digital artworks, consists of the FIFA World Cup and FIFA Women’s World Cup themes. In addition, it was stated that NFTs consisting of unforgettable goals by football players Jared Borgetti, Maxi Rodriguez, Carli Lloyd, Michael Owen and Tim Cahill will be a part of the collection.

Before this collection, FIFA had a relationship with the crypto money and NFT sector. FIFA also filed a trademark application for Metaverse in July. Visa, on the other hand, has been interested in the cryptocurrency ecosystem for a long time. The payment giant has collaborated with many crypto exchanges and crypto wallet providers to open the way for more than 80 million payment points to receive payments in cryptocurrencies. In recent developments, Visa has partnered with FTX, paving the way for the exchange’s crypto debit cards to be used in 40 countries. Also last week, Visa made a similar deal with Blockchain.com. Besides, Visa has signaled that it will expand its activities in this industry by filing new patent applications for use in Crypto, NFT and Metaverse fields last week.
