Exciting Metaverse Move for XRP
The leading altcoin Ripple (XRP) will be used as a utility token to purchase land on the xSPECTAR metaverse. xSPECTAR is a Web3 company built on XRPL with NFT collections and a metaverse. The company announced in October last year that XRP was added to UNL as a validator by the Ledger Foundation.
The xSpectar team has announced the details of the pre-sale land event for the metaverse in a recent tweet. The developers explained that XRP can be used to buy land to socialize, play and do business in the metaverse world of Xspectar. But XRP won’t be the only tool that can be used to buy land. Options include credit card and native token XPECTAR.
As a result, XRP continues to add new ways to be spent as a currency. In August last year, Binance Card announced that XRP was added to the list of supported cryptocurrencies on the platform. In this respect, the ecosystem continues to expand.
On the other hand, XRPL Labs has announced plans to shut down Hooks testnet V2 as Hooks testnet v3 continues to run and Evernode has switched to it. The XRP Ledger software developer states that it will shut down Hooks testnet v2 in two weeks, on May 14. Hooks, the core smart contracts for the XRP Ledger, are small, efficient pieces of code defined in an XRPL account that allow logic to be executed before and/or after XRPL transactions.
