Metaverse is being accepted and used by a wider audience day by day. The sector, which became more famous with the entry of companies such as Meta and Adidas into the sector, has also reached fashion weeks. So much so that finally, UNXD Metaverse Fashion Week will meet its followers with metaverse via Decetraland.
Decentraland, a virtual reality platform built on the luxury marketplace UNDX and the Ethereum blockchain operating on the Polygon Network network, announced that they are planning to hold a metaverse fashion week that will take place in March and will include runway shows, pop-up shops and after parties.
The event, which is the first fashion program of the metaverse project Decentraland, where users can live in a second world with their digital identities, will take place on 24-27 March 2022. The event will allow users to follow fashion in a virtual environment and purchase clothes for their avatars online.
UNDX had raised approximately $5.65 million in collaboration with the world-renowned Dolce & Gabbana brand to launch the NFT collection Collezione Genesi in September.
Decentraland invited all designers, brands and fashion enthusiasts to prepare their virtual collections on its Twitter account and showcase it on the metaverse base.
Announcing the event on Twitter, Decetraland announced the following for the metaverse fashion week:
"Calling all designers, brands and fashionistas. Decentraland x @UNXD_NFT presents Metaverse Fashion Week. A week of Catwalk shows, pop up shops, after parties and immersive experiences 24th - 27th March 2022 have your collections ready!"
Interest in metaverse projects is growing day by day, as they continue to offer new opportunities to actors and artists by offering a collective virtual experience. Crypto asset investment giant Grayscale stated in a report published earlier this year that the market value of the metaverse could reach over $1 trillion.
