Date Announced for Solana’s Smartphone

Solana, one of the most popular altcoins, has announced the official launch date for its highly anticipated smartphone, Saga.

According to the statement made on the Solana Mobile official Twitter account, the “Solana Mobile Saga Launch Event” will take place on April 13, 2023 at 10am.

Even though developers, marketers and some notable individuals had already bought Saga Mobile, the cryptocurrency community was waiting to buy Saga.

Solana Mobile says the Saga phone will help people easily and securely transact on the web3, trade tokens, mint NFTs, play on-chain games, access dApps, and more.

“A premium mobile experience, all powered by Android, that lets you trade tokens while you wait in line for coffee, mint NFT on your morning commute, and instantly access your favorite dApps anywhere, anytime.”

Solana Mobile Saga has a dApp Store, Seed Vault wallet, Solana Mobile Stack dApps development toolkit and an Android development environment, Saga Pass and other features. Unlike the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, which charge 30% on all transactions, the Solana store will be free to use and will be censorship resistant by leveraging Arweave, a decentralized file storage protocol. It has been announced that the phone will use a modified version of Google’s Android operating system and will come equipped with Google’s entire mobile suite.
