BNB Developer Announces Details of 2023 Roadmap

Alvin Kan, Director of Growth at BNB Chain, explained some of the goals of the project in the 2023 roadmap. Alvin Kan, in his interview, stated that the crypto network will make significant improvements in issues such as decentralization, security, performance and scalability this year. Claiming that the BNB network is the world’s largest in terms of daily active users and transaction volume, Alvin Kan said the following about the year 2023:

“Our biggest goal for 2023 will be Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility and the mainnet launch of our new L2 infrastructure, zkBNB, and blockchain-based Web3 infrastructure, BNB Greenfield.”

The Ethereum Virtual Machine (short for EVM) is the processing unit that allows developers to create smart contracts on the ETH network.

Known as Binance Smart Chain in its early years, BNB Chain has processed 3 billion transactions from 200 million different addresses since its launch in September 2020. BNB Chain developers want to continue the growth by increasing the number of validators on the network from 30 to 100 as an annual target. For the efficiency of the blockchain network, the developers set the bar from 2,200 to 5,000 transactions per second.
