Astar Network and Polygon Labs Collaborated for zkEVM

Astar Network, a Layer 1 smart contract platform with extensive support for ecosystems such as Ethereum, Polkadot, and Cosmos, is collaborating with Polygon Labs, a leading Ethereum scaling developer, to launch Astar zkEVM, a powerful Layer 2 solution.

This strategic partnership leverages the Polygon CDK (Chain Development Kit), an open source code base specifically designed for the creation of zero-knowledge Layer 2 chains compatible with Ethereum. Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon, said:

With the support of Coinbase Ventures and Binance Labs, Astar envisions playing a key role in this paradigm shift and aligning itself with national strategic regions focused on unlocking real-world use cases.
