French automaker Renault adds web3 to its technological journey. Renault has announced its web3 platform, R3NLT, with its first NFT collection.
The Renault 5 was launched in 1972, so on December 15 the French automaker is putting on sale 1,972 NFTs, each representing a unique nine-second video of the famous hatchback supermini.
Based on four models of Renault 5, the collection will include 100 electric Renault 5 NFTs, 160 Renault 5 Turbo NFTs, 450 Renault 5 Le Car Van NFTs and 1,262 Renault 5 TL NFTs. Each will be randomly assigned and will appear after purchase. They will also have their own perks, including invitations to special events or access to exclusive content.
The R3NLT platform is just the beginning of a long-term web 3 project for the automaker. The goal of the brand is to build a community of enthusiasts as well as build a closer relationship with its users. Web3 platform R3NLT will offer experiences and opportunities such as private test drives and meetings with brand designers.
