10 Most Traded Altcoins in South Korea

Kaiko examined the most traded cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin in South Korea, where the altcoin storm blew. According to the research of the Paris-based crypto research company, XRP has been determined as the most traded altcoin in the South Korean markets by far. The South Korean market for XRP is a huge one since it was delisted from Binance and Coinbase. Additionally, South Korean markets played a role in the recent XRP rally, with XRP-KRW trading volume hitting its highest level in recent months at the end of March.

The trading volume of XNO, the token of Nano, which is the second most traded altcoin in terms of trading volume, and ranked 244th in terms of market capitalization, increased in early April after the sales on the Bithumb exchange. As a result, the price of the asset diverged from the USD markets, dropping 40 percent in April. The digital asset also rose 1.3 percent on Binance.US.

In third place was DOGE, which rose with the replacement of the logo on the website of Elon Musk’s Social media platform Twitter with the logo of Dogecoin. Ethereum Classic (ETC) ranked fourth, followed by Solar (SXP), which experienced a boom in trading volumes.

T coin, the governance token of the Threshold network, was also one of the digital assets that performed high in transaction volume. T coin was followed by AXS, the token of the blockchain-based Axie Infinity game, SRM, the token of the Serum ecosystem, and APT, the token of Aptos, a scalable layer-1 blockchain network project.

Kaiko’s research also compared South Korean exchanges with Coinbase. It is noteworthy that the most traded altcoins on South Korean stock exchanges are ranked between 6 and 374 by market capitalization, while the most traded altcoins on Coinbase are largely in the top 100. Solana’s cryptocurrency, SOL, a blockchain network designed with a focus on fast and efficient transactions, ranked first in Coinbase in this sense.
